Your files never leave your device.

No upload proof

This tool runs locally in your browser using JavaScript or WebAssembly. PDF Plain does not receive your PDF content.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Network tab while using the tool and watch - no PDF file is sent.

    How it works

    1. Add PDFs

Select two or more PDF files from your device.

    2. Set the order

Use the file list to move documents into the order you want.

    3. Merge and download

The final PDF is created in your browser as a new file.

    When merging PDFs is useful

A merged PDF is easier to review, send, archive, and print than a folder of separate documents. Common examples include placing a signed contract before its exhibits, combining monthly invoices into one accounting record, joining application forms with supporting documents, or collecting scanned pages into the correct reading order.

PDF Plain copies each source page into a new document in the order shown in the file list. It does not turn the pages into screenshots, so vector text, embedded images, and normal page quality are preserved. Different page sizes and orientations can remain in the same result.

    Before you merge

    • Put the files in the exact order you want before starting the merge.
    • Open password-protected files with Unlock PDF first.
    • Check that forms, links, bookmarks, or digital signatures still behave as expected in the downloaded copy.
    • For very large documents, close unused browser tabs so more memory is available.

    FAQ

How many PDFs can I merge?

The practical limit depends on your browser memory and file sizes.

    Will quality change?

Merging copies pages into a new PDF and should not recompress page content.

    Are my files uploaded?

No. Files are processed locally in your browser.

    Can I change the order?

Yes. The file list supports ordering before the merge step.

Can I merge portrait and landscape pages?

Yes. Each page keeps its own dimensions and orientation in the combined PDF.

Why will an encrypted PDF not merge?

The browser cannot copy pages from a locked document without its password. Remove the known password with Unlock PDF, then add the unlocked copy here.

Will existing digital signatures remain valid?

Do not assume they will. Creating a new combined document changes the file structure and can invalidate cryptographic signatures. Verify signed documents in your PDF reader after merging.
